AI for realtors: what's worth your time and what isn't

Five workflows that pay back the setup, and three that will burn you if you trust them to run unattended.

Half the "AI for realtors" content on LinkedIn is written by people who've never run a transaction. Here's the honest list.

Worth your time

  • Listing descriptions — genuinely faster and often better than the MLS boilerplate, with a compliance safety net.
  • Follow-up email drafts — you edit and send. The drafting is the value; the autonomy is the risk.
  • Market update newsletters — pulling MLS data, structuring the take, and drafting the copy is 80% of the time saved.
  • CMA narrative — the numbers are yours; the write-up is faster.
  • Social captions and reel hooks — good AI for a task you'd otherwise skip.

Not worth your time (yet)

  • Fully autonomous lead qualification bots — they promise showings you can't keep, or fumble the ones that matter.
  • AI-generated headshots — the good ones cost you a photographer once. The bad ones look uncanny in every profile view forever.
  • AI-written buyer "love letters" — you cannot outsource fair-housing risk. Either write it yourself with care, or don't send one.

The rule

Use AI where you'd otherwise write a first draft and where a human still reviews. Skip it where mistakes are hard to reverse or where liability rides on the wording.

Every tool at [airealtydesk.pro](/tools) is built around that rule.
